NEW FOTO BOOF

i was commissioned by the Just Another Agency girls to construct another fotoboof for Tobys' 30th birthday party. i chose a fairly simple design consisting of; 2x shelving units covered in MDF, joined by some wooden rods and curtains. Hardware included; mini mac, printer, firewire iSight camera (autoexposure + autofocusing from 50 mm to infinity!) and screen so peeps could check themselves before they wrecked themselves! sear added toby's face. the fotoboof was definitely a highlight of the party and many funny photos were captured. the birthday girl got to keep her mural, but we kept the boof for future hires. get at me for a quote already. totally customizable; from mural, to photo prints + layout, to actual voice prompt recording! holla.

VJ JOSKE

i'm probably the laziest VJ in existence, but i still get heaps of props for my visuals, so i must be doing something right! recently i've been throwing some moving images on the walls of The Order Of Melbourne for The Dojo Saturday night gigs. these nights are run by a bunch of totally cool peeps (Wax Museum, Foot Clan + the infamous Fresh Petch,) and i'm super down to help crew that help themselves. nahmeen?!

has it really been that long since i posted? geez. that's embarrassing. i'm sure i've done stuff since then. probably more graff + photography which i've neglected to upload/update.. should probably do that now..

so, i went to perth for the LADIES LOUNGE exhibition. actually made some 'art' for it and projected some offensive things onto the wall across the road. got to hang out with HKC crew and we painted an incredible abandoned power station courtesy Lady Bananas. click on the image or link below for the video recap. soundtrack provided by joske and dj smitten (as featured on the aussie girls mixtape)

then off to Sydney for the LOTUS MEMORIAL JAM and whilst in town painted a tribute mural in Glebe. Big ups to MC THORN for her dedication and hard work.

also, you have to get down to prahran skatepark next saturday (4th feb) for the annual JUST ANOTHER FEMALE SKATEBOARD CONTEST. It's gonna be huge! $3000 in ca$h and truckloads of prizes. myself and Zbd will be hosting + toasting, so come say waddup. i threw together a little video promo for the event. monica shaw smashes the graphic design department, so i grabbed her bits and pieces and twisted them around some of my old skateboarding footage. click on the image or link below for a look!

SEAR -- TOUCH UPS

SEAR painted the Sniders Lane wall with a bunch of crew from the Just Another Agency. Sista Bella thought her snake character was too aggressive, so then she threw some swallows over it.

First time out with the new 7d. Definitely gonna crack out the camera mount next time, so my apologies for the shaky footage. Check the video below.

SOOOO FRICKEN LAZY AND LATE.. MEGA UPDATES

apologies to anyone who ever follows this ridiculous blog, (statistics suggest there are indeed a few of you.. weirdos,) but i really have been lazy only in the updating department. i swear i've been doing stuff. here's the proof:

--> PHOTOBOOF <-- br="">SEARious Jones commissioned me to take care of the technology, whilst her ever so patient dad hooked up the wooden box. this project was super fun and i'm certain everyone who got the chance to use it will agree.
here you see my 'workhorse' squished into the box. i'd tell you the name of the program i'm using but only if you ask super nicely.

photos don't look too bad either! complete with sneaky side marketing panel on the strip. we be hustling.

and we got to tag the inside, which makes for an excellent time lapse animation.. keep an eye out for that gif!

i pinched off a few fotos in between setting up so i could make a gif outta her. i don't think anyone understands how much i love retarded animated gif's.. seariously.


--> TUNNEL VISION <-- br="">i was invited to submit into a group exhibition co-ordinated by Caroline Ierodiaconou at the Platform Exhibition Space (Degraves Street subway.) I don't really make actual art, I'm more of an audio visual kinda girl, but I did manage to pull this multi-media collage outta my arse..

--> HITACHI PROJECTION <-- br="">The Stopem and Marine exhibition at One Five Faction featured a crazy little projection. i took an image of the inside of a hitachi train and projected it onto a wall

added an original chair and handrails, then i filmed them tagging the wall, created a new projection from it and reprojected it back onto the same wall. pretty pleased with how it turned out if i must say so myself.

made this mini promo too.. very basic but you get the idea.
